Individual Therapy
The Anchorage offers individual therapy using a secure video platform. You can attend from the comfort of your own home, or prioritize your own self care by scheduling a therapy session during your workday. No driving required! In order to be ready for therapy, please make sure you are in a private space with access to a phone, computer or tablet- most clients prefer to have a large screen if possible. It's also a good idea to have some water or other beverage nearby and a box of kleenex.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
CBT is a versatile therapy that has been demonstrated to be effective for a range of problems including depression, anxiety disorders, alcohol and drug use problems, marital problems, eating disorders, and severe mental illness. CBT focuses on developing a better understanding of our unhelpful thinking and behavioral patters, gently challenging these, and developing healthy coping skills during times of distress.
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
DBT is a skill-based therapy that targets four primary areas- Mindfulness, Interpersonal Effectiveness, Emotional Awareness, and Distress Tolerance. Learning and using these skills often helps clients better understand why they may be struggling in some areas, and make changes that improve their confidence and quality of life.
